Sam O'Rear

Sam founded TIGI (Total Innovation Group, Inc.) in 1990 after a successful career in sales and marketing at Siemens AG and GE Healthcare. He developed TIGI as an organization devoted to delivering a market-based business development experience that challenges the client’s team to learn new behaviors and applications that “lift their game.” TIGI supports the client team’s ability to evaluate “the why” their customer base is evolving their demand pattern, “the what” do they need to do to adapt to the customer market demands, and “the how” their teams will engage and execute the market-based strategy-tactics at the face of the customer to attain the client’s mission.

Sam is committed to the development of strong and effective business leaders…high integrity leaders that inspire, motivate, create, innovate, and support the development of the next generations of leaders with specific mentoring/coaching actions and informative facilitation.

TIGI clients have business growth and development risks, i.e., market terrain changes, economic environment shifts, competitive challenges, critical new product or service introductions, an evolving business mission that challenges their sales and margins. Sam’s focus is to assist in the delivery of measurable success to his many and valued clients.

Partner and Healthcare Practice Principal


Dr. Gunter Wessels joined TIGI in 2006, as a Partner, and as the Health Practice Principal. He is passionate and dedicated to the improvement of healthcare for our families and communities. Dr. Wessels leads TIGI’s global healthcare practice which delivers commercialization consulting services to hospital corporations, group purchasing organizations, distributors, and leading manufacturers and services organizations in healthcare. His expertise comes from more than 20 years in the healthcare industry, first on the supply side, and more recently as a consultant to providers and policy-makers. His clients gain strategic insight and actionable recommendations on how to rationalize the adoption of new technologies and business processes. Consequently, client engagements typically involve a programmatic approach to integrating the mission, operating resources, and metrics required to achieve market-leading performance.

Dr. Wessels is the author of widely circulated articles and white papers about Healthcare Reform, the Affordable Care Act, Value Based Purchasing, Leadership, and Interpersonal Influence. He is a sought-after speaker on the practical implications of regulatory changes, and sustaining innovation during periods of industry and organizational change.

Dr. Wessels has a Ph.D. in Management with an emphasis in Marketing and Psychology from the University of Arizona, a M.B.A. from the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management, and a B.S. in Biology from the University of California.

Jennifer Bravo is the managing partner of TIGI, proudly joining the team in 2012.  In her role she ensures that TIGI delivers on its mission to provide innovative commercial operations consulting services to leading organizations in health care, manufacturing, and information technology. Ms. Bravo comes to TIGI with a wealth of operations management experience, having led provider organizations as they navigated health care reform. She has lead physician office practices and launched an Ambulatory Surgery Center, navigating complex regulatory environments to achieve profitability with unprecedented speed. Ms. Bravo is a skilled Project Manager having developed processes that accelerate accreditation and expedite the attainment of certifications for both CMS and Joint Commission. She has also recently worked closely with state officials from CMS to implement compliant processes and programs under the rapid evolution health care reform in 2010-2012.

Jennifer is certified in human performance evaluation, DISC, and has a B.A. in Communications and Psychology from The University of Tampa.
